Course Description

This course provides students the skills needed to manage their calibrated assets. It provides comprehensive instruction in all of the IBM Maximo Calibration functions. Students will gain knowledge in using IBM Maximo Calibration to manage all phases of the Calibration asset lifecycle.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Navigate all of the IBM Maximo Calibration applications
  • Explain the basic functions of the fields in each of the IBM Maximo Calibration applications
  • Explain the basic business rules of each of the IBM Maximo Calibration applications
  • Explain how the IBM Maximo Calibration applications work together
  • Enter calibrated asset records “instruments and standards” into IBM Maximo Calibration
  • Create calibration data sheets for analog and discrete asset functions
  • Create job plans with data sheets associated with calibrated assets
  • Create PMs to generate periodic calibration work orders
  • Create work orders with attached calibration data sheets for calibrated assets
  • Enter data associated with a calibration work order
  • Search for an asset’s previous calibration data
  • Perform a reverse trace on a calibration standard
  • Query for calibration-related records
  • Apply the principles and examples presented in this course to perform calibration management on the job
